Steam Engine 274 Volts DC no load, Larger Steam Engine DC Generator Cam Gear Timing Chain

www.greenpowerscience.com This is a larger Steam Engine I have. It was tested at 80 PSI and has a lot of torque. The Permanent Magnet motor is a 1HP Leeson motor that produces very high voltage. It is a good option for lower RPM turbines requiring higher charging voltage. The Timing Chain and gear were placed to test the maximum DC voltage. This is a lower torque setup. For heavier load testing I will be reversing the arrangement. The Geared motor requires 90V DC to run at 4900 RPM to the 120 to 1 ratio of 40 RPM. This Tested at 60 RPM so the power was about 100 watts of the single motor and 185 for the double setup.

Steam engines are great, Unfortunately most people give up on the boiler. Small scale steam is not known to be economicaly efficient (unless powered by solar/renewables) to operate.

I have designed a boiler with an efficient heat recovery system but have no engine to do testing on. If you would like to colaborate on the boiler part of your project I would love to help. oct1113 @ Hotmail.com

The “load” motors weren’t loaded, so they didn’t pull as much power al declarated but far less.

Yep, it’s being done right now with dish-shaped mirros and with fresnel lenses. Both work very well.

could you use huge funnel shaped mirrors to concentrate the heat of the sun into an area used for heating the water to turn it into steam?? ahha…that could be true free energy! just curious if you think this could work?

Dan , where u get the engine and how much it cost ?

you can easy convert the volt output, but has anyone a idea of what the kW/h is?

Nice use of dry wall screws in that big sprocket. :-)

ironicaly the engine is cooled by the evaporating steam =3-

if u like biger than models check this out =3-

With steam maybe there will be a problem with the cooling of the engine.

according to the law of conservation of energy this is true for any kind of energy transfer

@valveman12 –greenpowerscience has never claimed overunity. you can’t lump everyone’s video posts on youtube together. The videos and comments made by the poster in this case greenpowerscience are theirs and theirs alone. If they don’t claim it—don’t blame it!

  15. valveman12

Really? Everyone knows that? You would not thinks so watching some of these videos claiming they have reached overunity.
