    The speed is depend upon number of poles in the generator field.
    Then only it will give correct output volatge
    The formula is n=120xf divided by P.
    where n=speed f=frequency
    p=number of poles.
    Electronic tachometers are available .U may use a stroboscope also to measure speed.
