Generators and Other Electric Devices?
I want to make a generator or electric generating device capable of producing enough electricity to power survival items, such as a flashlight. (Just an example) Is there a blueprint or instruction site anyone knows of to make a device such as this? And I hope I'm not getting too specific, but if it could also sit on my desk and look nifty that'd be cool. If I'm being unrealistic just tell me.

In the novel “Weapon”, SOlo (the robot) made a “powertube” which was a stirling cycle free piston generator. I always thought that was kind of cool.
